1. Who we are

This policy covers the J&R Global website (the "Website"). We provide security guarding, event security, CCTV monitoring and facility manpower services to clients in Punjab and the Chandigarh Tricity.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal data of people who use the Website or contact us through it, including (i) clients and prospective clients, (ii) suppliers and prospective suppliers, and (iii) job applicants and candidates for deployment.

3. What we collect

• Details you enter in our quote, contact and job application forms, such as your name, phone number, email, city, organisation and message.
• For job applicants: date of birth, education, work experience, a full-length photograph, your résumé (optional) and the documents needed for background and police verification.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools.

The data we request is needed for the purposes below. If you do not provide it, we may not be able to reply to you or process your request. You confirm that the information you give us is accurate, and we may ask you to review and update it from time to time.

4. Why we use it

4.1 Clients and prospective clients

• To reply to enquiries, arrange site visits and prepare quotations (steps before a contract).
• To sign and manage contracts, deploy and supervise staff, invoice and collect payment (performance of a contract).
• With your consent, to send you updates about our services by phone, email or WhatsApp. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• To keep business records, prevent fraud and improve our services (legitimate uses permitted by law).

4.2 Suppliers and prospective suppliers

• To respond to your enquiries, onboard you as a vendor, manage the relationship and make payments.

4.3 Job applicants

• To assess your application, contact you for interviews and make hiring decisions.
• We ask for a full-length photograph to assess your suitability for uniformed security and facility roles. When we store your photograph we remove its hidden data (such as the location where it was taken).
• To carry out background and police verification, as required under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, before deployment.
• With your consent, to keep your application on file for future openings.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Who we share it with

• Public authorities, police, the PSARA Controlling Authority, courts and other bodies where we are required to by law.
• Our group company JR Security Services, Australia, for centralised administrative and IT processes.
• Service providers who host the Website and its backups, send email (Microsoft 365), monitor the Website for technical errors (Sentry), or protect our forms from spam (Google reCAPTCHA), under confidentiality obligations and only on our instructions. When you apply for a job, your photograph and résumé are emailed to our hiring team together with your application.

Where data is processed outside India, we require the recipient to protect it to a standard no lower than the one required by Indian law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or for longer where Indian law requires it (for example, tax, labour and PSARA records). If legal proceedings arise, relevant data may be retained until they are finally resolved. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
Job applications that are not taken forward are deleted together with their photograph and resume after 6 months, unless you asked us to keep them on file. Copies sent to our hiring team by email are deleted under our internal email retention rules. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 12 months before they are overwritten.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

• give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct, complete or update your data;
• erase your data, where we are no longer required to keep it;
• withdraw any consent you have given (this does not affect processing done before withdrawal);
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.

To exercise these rights or raise a grievance, write to our Grievance Officer at legal@jrglobalgroup.com or to our registered address, with proof of identity. We will respond within the time required by law, and in any case within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7A. Visitors from the EU, UK and other countries

Our services are delivered in India, but the Website can be visited from anywhere. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR may apply to our processing of your data.

• Legal bases: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)), consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), matching the purposes in section 4.
• Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
• Complaints: you may complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
• Transfers: your data is stored in India. Encrypted backups are stored in the European Union, error reports with personal details removed are processed in the European Union, and data may be accessed from Australia by our group company. We rely on contractual safeguards for these transfers.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Website. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you allow them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie Settings" in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure, and we train staff who handle it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so data you send through the Website is sent at your own risk.

10. Children

The Website and our job applications are intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
